For those of us who swing this way.... I love the clip near the end, you'll know what I'm talking about when you see it.

the movie has been around for a while - picking up some festival awards. Supposed to be a relatively politically-neutral movie based in the Iraq war.

It's finally been picked up for a national release schedule beginning in a few weeks. Might not make it to Funroe, but Shreve might get it.

If anyone has been watching ABC's The Unusuals, he main actor is Jeremy Renner, who plays Det. Walsh. He was also the bad guy - Gamble - in the remake of SWAT.

Had to pull this one back up. Just won best picture.

Funny thing is that I had to download it off the net to see it, cause no one was sure it would even come to a theatre, and I saw Avatar 3D @ the theatre twice.

Then you better not watch "Precious", either.

I haven't seen it, but have heard enough about it to know that it was not given all its critical acclaim as an exercise in 'equal opportunity'. Reportedly it was truly a well made, extremely powerful movie. I also heard a couple of reviewers on the radio yesterday say that it was so darn depressing that in the final scene, it wouldn't have surprised them if a bus had hopped the curb and killed everyone, since the movie was just that dark all along.

Have you seen 'The Hurt Locker' yet?

Nope, as in no plans to see "The Hurt Locker"?

Really?

It is a very well made movie with an incredibly powerful story. It's not as deeply layered as say, "The Deer Hunter", but it is definitely worthy of its accolades.

as in no plans to less it just happens to be on tv one night and i am watching tv (which is only about once every 3 weeks for about 30 min) ...

i know the basics of the story already ... when it comes to things like that and Precious .. i much prefer to read a book over watching it on the screen ... well i am that way about most movies .. but i do go out to see a few ... mostly ones that are funny ... now give me some.

Frequently Asked Questions about Time Travel, Zombieland or Shawn of the Dead type movies .. and i will watch em.
