I rode about 1/4 mile of it Friday, but bailed because I thought it was too wet and rode black top. A couple of guys rode it Saturday and reported that it was very sloppy. With the rain we got last night, I'd say it needs another week of good weather to dry out. bummer.

the first portion needs another week to dry out but is not too bad. it has lots of new re-routes!!!
the other side of the road needs to be left alone for at least 2-4 weeks .... it's pretty bad

BC in Canada is usually wet and/or snowed in this time of year... they're dry and riding... go figure it'll be back to normal after a while... we just have to be patient and show our trails some respect by staying off 'em till they dry out... not only will they then be in better shape, they'll be that much more fun to ride... check out the dirt road rides for some alternate 'dirt' in the interim

Rode Bodcau today for the first time. Its still very sloppy in enough areas to make it less than enjoyable. Being a newcomer to this trail... I did find it difficult to navigate, especially the first section (orange/yellow?) Its a real open woodland place, so when the ground is covered in leaves its difficult to eye the trail at times. Then there were no markers at a couple trail forks, and some trail forks had triangle markers which points in three directions. So I ended up riding half the orange trail twice, then decided to ride up the road and drop into the red section which I apparently went right when I should have gone left. So I rode half the red... then went down the road and to the right and dropped back into the Red trail, rode it to the red/yellow split off... then took the red back out and across the rode, back onto the orange trail and to the trail head.
Then went and ate crawfish and had a couple beers at crawfish hole #2, so all in all I got a good exercise in and had some good food. |

Shouldn't everyone just stay OFF Bodcau until mid April??
Riding out there just doesn't seem to be feisable for now since lit can't be ridden and if someone tries, it tears up the trail.. ??!!??!?
