Default Caney lake

went out and rode from my house yesterday to caney to check the trail, the trail is pretty dry with the exception of the pipeline. there are a few trees down, i moved some of the smaller ones of of the KONA trail, there are still a few larger ones at the end of the sugar cane trail. THANK YOU to whoever has been out cutting trees out of the trail out there. there were quite a few larger trees that had been cut out of the trail. so to recap, caney is rideable with the exception of a few trees.

That's great to hear. I am looking forward to riding it soon.

I was out on Sunday. Near the large wet area on the east side of the sugar cane trail, I found a small black T-shirt with a logo having to do with karate. I hung it on a tree near the trail. Glad there were those old huge downed trees to give you a foot path around the flooded areas.

I found some trails I never knew existed Sunday while riding N on the old power line right-of-way. Yesterday being my first off-road outing this year, I am sore this morning.

I noticed a red diamond marker on the trails I took Sunday. Is that for all their trails or just Sugar Cane? I started from a FS road [CN22G] on 159 several miles south of the turn for Caney Lake Road and followed an old power line right-of-way until I saw the marker for Sugar Cane Trail

I saw a map here: http://www.fs.fed.us/r8/kisatchie/ki...akes_unit.html and there's a trail the FS calls Beech Bottom Loop. Is that trail different from the ones you or I have mentioned?
