Does anyone have a detailed location for the 'climb' at Mt Nebo? From very general descriptions of the route, I tried plotting it on mapmyride.com, and if I got it right, it's a beast of a climb.
http://www.mapmyride.com/route/us/ar...26771502813464 I'm just wondering if there might be an even more wicked climb in the area. |

Depends on perspective. A short 13% is nothing, a nearly 3 mile 8-9% grade with some 12-13% thrown in the middle is a big ol' glob of deep fried death on a stick. You could get a killer workout on Mt Nebo even without the really steep bits.

I was sort of planning to do a bunch of 'roubaix-like' races, but decided sort of at the last minute to do the one thing this year that I didn't do last year, and that's take a trip to Europe. I'm hoping to be back in the workforce by mid-year, so I can't wait till summer to go ride the French Alps like I'd hoped to do last year. Instead, I'm going in early April to do a bit of riding in Belgium and France, to include riding in the citizen's version of the Tour of Flanders as well as an unstructured ride of the Paris Roubaix route from the Arenburg Forest into the finish at the Roubaix velodrome, plus watch the Tour of Flanders and Paris Roubaix pro races. The trip is why I'm not doing Rouge Roubaix this weekend or the OC later this month. The need to ride super short, super steep cobbled climbs in Belgium is why I'm doing silly things like intervals up 22% grade climbs. |

Yep, very much a compliment.
That's one heck of a spring break for ya. We'll be looking for the pix.
